Tulum's new airport rewrote the arithmetic of the Riviera Maya: where Cancún's terminal sits two-plus hours from Tulum, TQO's jungle-framed halls put the town thirty minutes away and the beach hotel zone under an hour. The catch is the last mile — buses and the Maya Train stop in Tulum Pueblo, not at your beach hotel. Transpovia closes it: private transfers from the terminal doors straight to your exact hotel, fare fixed before you land.
Transpovia provides dependable private transfers at TQO for travelers who want the ground leg settled in advance. Your driver monitors your flight, meets you at arrivals, and the fare is confirmed before travel — no meter, no surge.
The airport itself is the region's newest landmark: opened in late 2023 amid the jungle at Felipe Carrillo Puerto, its Maya-inspired terminal moves quickly — small halls, short lines, one of the country's longest runways out back. The board has filled fast, with United, American, Delta, JetBlue, Air Canada, WestJet, Aeroméxico and more now linking three countries; and the Maya Train has its own station at the airport, a short shuttle from arrivals — a fine regional excursion, though at current schedules it's rail for exploring, not a substitute for the ride to your hotel.
That ride is where the fine print lives. Tulum is really two addresses: the Pueblo — the town center about thirty to forty minutes north — and the beach hotel zone strung along the coast beyond it, forty to fifty-five minutes depending on where your hotel sits on the strip. Buses and the train deliver you to the Pueblo and leave the last miles to chance; our car takes you from the terminal to the exact hotel gate, palapa or jungle boutique, fare fixed regardless of which kilometer of beach road you're on.
And the map runs farther than Tulum: Akumal's turtle bays and Playa del Carmen to the north in under an hour, the cenote country all around, Bacalar's seven-color lagoon about an hour and three-quarters south, Sian Ka'an's wild gate below the hotel zone. If your route only flies to Cancún, we bridge that too — CUN to Tulum in around two hours on a fixed fare, and back again for departure day. Your pickup is scheduled around your actual arrival, and your driver waits as you exit.
Yes — Playa del Carmen and Akumal under an hour north, Bacalar about 1h45 south, Sian Ka'an's gate below the hotel zone: fixed fares, one way or return.
About 25 km — thirty to forty minutes to the town center, forty to fifty-five to the beach hotel zone depending on your hotel's spot on the strip. Fare fixed in advance either way.
At arrivals in the single Maya-inspired terminal — you'll be out quickly, and your driver tracks the flight and waits with your name.
Time: Cancún sits some 120 km from Tulum — two-plus hours after a long flight. TQO cuts that to well under an hour. If your route only serves CUN, we run that bridge too.
Yes — your fare is confirmed before travel, holiday weeks included. No meter, no surge.
They're decent — but both drop you in Tulum Pueblo, not at your beach hotel, and the last miles are on you. Our car goes terminal to exact door, luggage and all.
